Digital advice for new investors

Charles Wilson was a US Army veteran and accountant for John Deere in Waterloo, Iowa, where he lived with his wife, Vera Mae, and their two children. Although they were not wealthy, he believed strongly in the long-term potential of the capital markets and invested his money accordingly. 

When Ben was in 6th grade, Grandpa Chuck let him pick a stock from the listings in The Des Moines Register Business section. He went to his broker in downtown Waterloo and purchased one share of Phillips Petroleum as a gift for Ben. 

Since then, it feels like the investment business has grown to focus only on wealthy individuals with large amounts of money. We REALLY hate that. 

 In addition to serving our high-net-worth clients, it is our goal to help people get started investing early and to grow relationships across multiple family generations. Our hope is that our new clients eventually become large clients, and their children, friends, and referrals become new clients as the cycle repeats itself.
