Background

Ours was easy.

Historically, the Diamond Trail was one of the original routes from Iowa City heading west to Des Moines, and beyond. The old stagecoach road has long since been paved, but Diamond Trail still represents the connection of the past, future, and everything in between.

Our Story

Today, Diamond Trail Capital Management has relationships across the state. You may find us in Iowa City, where our founder attended business school, or small-town Iowa, where we grew up. Or maybe it's Des Moines, where our family chose to make a home nearly 20 years ago when a global investment firm provided us with a career opportunity.

On the weekends, you will likely find us on the water, or at a sporting event. Montezuma, IA was not only the midpoint between Iowa City and Des Moines along the original Diamond Trail, but it is also home to one of the true hidden gems in Iowa- Lake Ponderosa.

In 2023, we decided it was time to break away from the headaches and inefficiencies that come with larger companies. Our loyal clients and cutting-edge technology have made this possible.
